How do I know it works?

We had to pass FDA testing protocals for Broad Spectrum SPF rating, as well as Water Resistance period. Without these approvals we could not legally make these claims. If you would like more information about these tests please contact us.

Additionally we have field tested the product for over three years here in Maine and in the tropics.

Between the lab and field results we are confident you will find our mineral sunscreen safe and effective while enjoying your favorite outdoor activities!

Our water resistant mineral sunscreen is specifically designed to excel in, and be kind to, marine environments. It goes on thick but rubs out clear to form a durable protective barrier on your skin that does not easily wash off in or around the water. It is made with biodegradable ingredients and scent free, making it suitable for all skin types. Additionally we minimize our use of plastic across the brand in order to help mitigate the earth’s plastic crisis.

Let’s do some quick math with round numbers.

  • It is generally recommended that the average adult use 1 oz. (2TBS) of sunscreen per session, for their entire body.
  • The frontal head and neck area of the average adult comprises about 5% of total skin area.
  • If used for the frontal head and neck area you should get 35-40 sessions; but if used for the entire body you would get only two.
